Remediation vs. Advancement

Orange Lutheran High School’s Summer School provides relevant classes to students who have a need to remediate grades to meet graduation requirements. If you are looking to remediate a grade in a class, meaning that a course is being repeated in order to meet graduation requirements, Summer School or Orange Lutheran Online (OLO) courses are appropriate.

If you are looking to advance in your coursework, including taking prerequisites for honors-level courses, you must take the course through OLO. No classes for advancement are offered on campus.

Payment

Payment is required at the time of enrollment. Billing through FACTS or payment with cash or check is not available as all registration is handled online.

Theology (1, 2, 3, 4)

Both semesters of Theology courses will be available for remediation during either of the two summer school sessions. However, only one semester may be remediated per summer school session. Due to the independent study nature of the Theology summer course, the highest maximum remediation grade earned can be no higher than a C. Students are required to attend class on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Tuesday and Thursday are flex days during which students will work from home. In some instances, students may be required to attend class on Tuesday and Thursday as determined by the teacher and based on individual student needs.
